Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) apply to all services provided by Didcot Auto Repair (“we”, “our”, “us”) to customers (“you”, “your”). By booking or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.


1. Services Provided

1.1 We provide automotive repair, maintenance, diagnostic, and upgrade services as described on our website and at our premises.
1.2 All services are subject to availability and may vary depending on vehicle type, condition, and required parts.
1.3 Estimates given are based on initial inspection; final costs may vary if additional work or parts are required.


2. Bookings & Cancellations

2.1 Appointments can be made by phone, email, or in person.
2.2 We require at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations. Failure to do so may result in a cancellation fee.
2.3 We reserve the right to reschedule or refuse services if necessary (e.g., due to staff availability, safety concerns, or part shortages).


3. Pricing & Payments

3.1 All prices include labour and parts unless otherwise stated.
3.2 A call-out fee may apply for mobile or emergency services.
3.3 Payment must be made in full upon collection of the vehicle unless otherwise agreed in writing.
3.4 We accept cash, debit/credit cards, and bank transfers.


4. Parts & Warranty

4.1 We use quality OEM or equivalent replacement parts unless otherwise agreed.
4.2 Parts supplied and fitted by us are covered by the manufacturer’s warranty.
4.3 Warranty does not cover wear-and-tear, misuse, neglect, or work carried out by third parties after service.
4.4 Customer-supplied parts are fitted at your own risk with no warranty provided by us.


5. Customer Responsibilities

5.1 You must provide accurate details of your vehicle, faults, and any prior work carried out.
5.2 You are responsible for removing personal belongings from the vehicle before service.
5.3 We are not liable for loss or damage to personal items left inside the vehicle.
5.4 Vehicles left on-site must be collected within 7 days of completion unless agreed otherwise; storage fees may apply thereafter.


6. Liability & Insurance

6.1 We take reasonable care when working on vehicles, but we are not liable for:

  • Pre-existing faults or damage
  • Consequential or indirect losses (e.g., loss of income, business, or use of vehicle)
  • Delays caused by part availability, supplier issues, or external factors beyond our control
    6.2 We hold appropriate public liability and motor trade insurance.

7. Road Testing

7.1 You authorise us to road-test your vehicle if necessary for diagnosis or quality checks.
7.2 We are not responsible for breakdowns or issues unrelated to the work carried out during such tests.


8. Complaints & Disputes

8.1 If you are not satisfied with our service, please contact us in writing within 14 days of completion.
8.2 We will investigate complaints promptly and work to resolve issues fairly.
8.3 If a dispute cannot be resolved, it may be referred to alternative dispute resolution or small claims court.


9. Data Protection & Privacy

9.1 We collect and process customer data (name, contact details, vehicle information) only for service and business purposes.
9.2 We do not share your data with third parties except as required by law or necessary to complete services.

10. Governing Law

10.1 These Terms are governed by and construed under the laws of England and Wales.
10.2 Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
